Greig Young has become Dumbarton’s latest signing of the transfer window with the defender signing a one-year-deal with the club.
The exciting young full-back arrives following his departure from Raith Rovers after coming through the ranks and signing a Modern Apprenticeship with the Starks Park side.
The 20-year-old has made eight appearances in the Championship for Rovers as well as spending the first-half of last season on loan at Sons cinch League Two rivals Elgin City before being recalled by Raith.
Dumbarton boss Stevie Farrell said: “Greig is someone who we see as having a lot of potential but also with the ability to make an immediate impact on the team.
“He will offer us plenty of energy from the left-side of defence with his willingness to get forward and can also do the dirty side of the game at the other end.”
