MANAGER Stevie Aitken’s reaction to today’s round one draw of the Petrofac Training Cup is positive and he’s looking forward to facing his old club.
Morton will provide the opposition on July 25th at Cappielow, and it’s a ground that the Sons boss know well as he spent the majority of his playing career at the Greenock club.
“It’s a great test for us early on in the new season”, said Stevie.
“We’ll be playing a club with a lot of momentum coming off the back of a championship win.
“I know Morton from playing there and from the matches we played when at Stranraer last season.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing how my new look squad will be shaping up for the new season.”
Kick-off for the game next month will be at 3pm with admission prices to be confirmed.
