NEW signing Grant Gallagher can’t wait to get started as a Sons player and is looking forward to playing in the SPFL Championship.
Grant, who agreed a 1-year deal at the Dumbarton Football Stadium this morning, is impressed by his new club.
He told us : “As soon as I arrived I knew that I had made the right decision to sign for the Sons.
“I got a warm welcome from everyone and I’m delighted to be at the club.”
A former Celtic youth, Grant has experience that he hopes will be put to good use in the Championship.
“I started at Celtic when I was 17 and spent 3-years there before moving to Stranraer in 2010.
“It was real wrench to leave Stair Park, but the gaffer is persuasive and it’s an opportunity too good to turn down.
“I made over 200 appearances for Stranraer but it was time for something new and I’m really looking forward to playing in what will be a really competitive league.”
And the new campaign can’t come quick enough. Grant continued : “Training starts next month and it’ll be good to get the first couple of sessions out of the way and of course it’ll be a chance to meet the boys.”
