GAFFER Alan Adamson today announced that Andy Graham will be his on-field captain for the season ahead.
The defender, signed this summer from Morton, has the leadership qualities that the manager believes will benefit his team.
“Andy is a talker,” said Alan. “At 28 he’s at the peak of his career and his experience will be required in the season ahead. I’m delighted he’s accepted the role.”
Graham takes over from Paul Nugent who left the club at the end of last season.
The manager also confirmed that Bryan Prunty will be Club captain for the campaign and the boss stressed that this role is equally important as Andy’s.
“Bryan is a great lad and really has taken to life here at Dumbarton. He is a great ambassador and he always makes himself available for the lads to offer advice,” said Alan.
“Both lads will be a great help to me and the team in what is sure to be an exciting year ahead.”
