GOALKEEPER Jamie Barclay, previously with the club in the early part of season 2016/17, has returned to Dumbarton on a rolling seven-day emergency loan from Kilwinning Rangers.
The 31-year-old counts Berwick Rangers, Clyde, Stenhousemuir and East Stirlingshire among his former clubs.
He was previously with Sons in 2016 but never played competitively, and left the club at the end of a short-term deal after the arrival of Alan Martin.
Manager Jim Duffy said: “With Chris Smith having been released, and Joshua Bradley-Hurst remaining injured, goalkeeping cover was important.
“Jamie could not be in the squad last night due to Covid testing requirements, but all being well, he will be available from tomorrow’s game against East Fife.
“Thanks also to Kilwinning Rangers for their help in getting the deal done.”
Jamie will inherit the number 21 jersey from Smith, who left due to work commitments.
