DUMBARTON have secured a short-term loan for goalkeeper Chris Calder, who joins the club on loan from West of Scotland Football League outfit St Roch’s.
With Chris Smith’s injury liable to keep him sidelined for a number of weeks, club staff have been hard at work to source a new goalkeeper.
Calder, however, will be familiar with his surroundings as he was previously in goal for the club’s under-19 side.
He has been around the junior clubs during his career, including Glasgow Perthshire, Beith and Rossvale. In line with SPFL regulations his loan deal is for seven days, but this can be extended if necessary.
