SONS youth development coaches and players will be at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium tomorrow appealing for fans help with their 5th give a quid for the kids fundraising initiative.
The event, initially organised 3-years ago by the Sonstrust, has a simple concept.
We are asking supporters who attend tomorrow’s match against Morton to drop just ONE POUND into special collection buckets, which will be carried by coaches/parents and players of the YDI at the match.
All proceeds will be used for the club’s youth and community programme.
“This will be our fifth Quids for Kids collection and we are hoping that it will be a success, said Alan Findlay, the Trust’s director on the board of Dumbarton FC.
“Funding routes are diminishing so we have to start doing things for ourselves.
“By giving just £1 every supporter can play their part in helping the club’s YDI development.
“To continue the fantastic work our coaches provide, we need money and whilst we are all working very hard and giving lots of time, funding is very, very important.”
Gates open to the stadium tomorrow at 1.15pm.
Thanks for your support in advance!
