NEW boss Ian Murray, who may have to wait to take his place in the Sons dugout till next midweek, reports that his first week in charge has gone well.
His phone has been red-hot as he settles into the job and whilst it’s been demanding, the gaffer is pleased with how things have gone.
He said : “As you can imagine, things have been hectic since last Friday and I’ve been busy trying to get a handle on things.
“Obviously the defeat on Saturday against Dunfermline Athletic was not a good start but it did let me see what it is I have to do.
“Training with the lads has gone well and I was impressed with their work ethic and how they apply themselves so we have a base to work from.
“It looks like though that tomorrow’s game with Hamilton Accies won’t be on, so if that happens, I’ll be taking the squad training early in the afternoon as it’s important we keep working.”
On bringing in fresh faces to the squad, Murray confirmed that he had been in talks with a number of potential targets but there had been no agreements struck.
He continued : “I’ve spoken to a number of guys in terms of adding to the squad however there is no movement in that area yet.”
