MANAGER Stevie Aitken insists that his focus is purely on preparing Dumbarton for the 2016/17 season.
Reports this week had linked the Sons gaffer with the managerial post at another Championship club.
But even during that period, work has been ongoing to re-sign, and add to, the squad ahead of the coming campaign.
The boss said: “I am focusing on Dumbarton to build on the success of last season where we retained Championship status.
“It is flattering to be linked with the other post, but my focus is fully on Dumbarton FC.
“I would like to thank the board for letting me have the opportunity to chat to Raith but my passion and vision is purely on Dumbarton.
“We are working very hard behind the scenes to retain existing players and secure new ones ahead of season 2016/17.”
