FORMER Aberdeen youth player Mitchell Megginson is Dumbarton’s latest signing as manager Ian Murray continues his squad re-building for the new season.

Megginson, known as ‘Mitch’, is a Scottish youth internationalist having a total of seven caps gained at U-17 and U-19 level. He spent the majority of season 2012/13 on-loan at Alloa Athletic and turned out for the Wasps on ten ocassions.

The 20-year-old striker joined up with his new Sons teammates at the Bet Butler Stadium this morning before completing the paperwork formalities on a 1-year contract, and was welcomed to the club by assistant manager Jack Ross.

Also joining the Sons squad is promising goalkeeper Josh Lumsden who becomes the latest graduate from the club’s youth academy.

Josh, a local lad, has agreed professional terms and joins up with fellow students Joe Coleman and Ally McKerracher.
