Dumbarton picked up a well earned point against East Kilbride this afternoon.

Sons were up against it in the first-half as the hosts enjoyed the majority of possession, without testing Shay Kelly.

They were awarded a penalty in added-time at the end of the opening 45, which John Robertson tucked away.

The visitors came back into the game after the break and finally got their reward midway through the half when Scott Tomlinson tucked the ball into the net.

Dumbarton continued to look for a winner but it didn’t come whilst Joao Balde perhaps could have won it for the home side.

Sons are in KDM Evolution Trophy action on Tuesday against Kelty Hearts before they host Stranraer next Saturday, both at the Marbill Coaches Stadium.
