SONS first match of the 2015/2016 Ladbrokes Championship season will be against
Manager Stevie Aitken will lead his team for the first time in competitive league action at , and the gaffer is looking forward to getting things underway.
He said : “Getting a home match to start with is always good and we will welcome Hibs to kick-off the season.
“Hibs will be amongst the favourites for the title so it’s a tough opening.
“However I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead and I know it’s a stock phrase, but I’m really can’t wait to get things underway.”
Following playing the Leith team, Sons will make the short trip to Paisley on 15th August where Ian Murray’s St Mirren await.
Stevie said : “It was inevitable that we would get to face Ian and his new team early on in the season but it’s another game to get excited about.”
Queen of the South visit the Dumbarton Football Stadium on 22nd August and and away trip to Falkirk completes the first month of August.
Other highlights include Rangers at home on 19th September and again at the Rock as first foots on 2nd January 2016.
