Two second-half goals resulted in a defeat for Dumbarton at Kelty Hearts this afternoon.
After a tightly contested first-half, the hosts took the lead when Ross Cunningham’s shot from the edge of the area rifled into the top corner on 52 minutes.
The lead was doubled on 64 minutes when Scott Williamson brought down a cross to fire through a busy penalty area and find the net.
Sons looked for a way back into the game but couldn’t find that final touch to set up a tense finale.
Dumbarton return to action with the visit of Queen of the South next weekend.
