DUMBARTON have won 1-0 in a closed door friendly at home to Motherwell this afternoon, with David Hopkirk scoring the late winning goal.
Targeting only a positive workout ahead of the game, Sons certainly achieved that with a hardworking performance against the Steelmen, who fielded a different XI in each half.
The game looked as if it might end in stalemate until Hopkirk finished from a Conner Duthie cross with two minutes left. Both are pictured after the goal.
