Sunday 30th October 2016
THE Sons Supporters Trust and club today thanked all Dumbarton supporters who helped them raise £600 for DFC’s youth development work by giving £1 at the previous day’s home match against Dunfermline Athletic — and any visiting fans who donated.
The initiative was started four years ago and once again proved to be a successful fundraising venture. All proceeds will be used for the club’s youth and community programme.
YDI head Tony McNally said: “I would like to thank all the players, coaches and parents for helping us raise the £600. To continue the fantastic work our coaches provide, we need money and, whilst we are all working very hard and giving lots of time, funding is very, very important.”
