Saturday 6th July 2013
DUMBARTON Football Club has decided to install collapsible entrance bollards at the entry to the Bet Butler Stadium to curtail overnight parking within the club grounds.
The bollards will be raised at close of business each day and will remain in place until the stadium re-opens.
When these bollards are collapsed they are above ground level, and, while they are lower than the underside of normal vehicles, car entry to the stadium will need to be negotiated carefully if only to prevent damage to the bollards.
With this in mind, a traffic calming measure — a ‘sleeping policeman’ — will be installed at the entrance to slow down vehicles and allow for safe means of access and exit.
It is hoped to have these measures in place before next Saturday’s home friendly match against Partick Thistle (July 13th).
Please note that it will be the responsibility of drivers to exercise care, and that Dumbarton FC will not be liable for any vehicle damage that results from inappropriate driving.
