ENTERTAINING TRIBUTE TO STEPHEN

PAST players, fans and friends gathered at the Dumbarton Football Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the Stephen Grindlay Testimonial Match.

A Dumbarton XI of mostly current first team players beat a Testimonial XI 8-1 in this the second of four events organised by the independent Testimonial Committee in recognition of the big goalkeeper’s service to Dumbarton.

But the score did not matter on an entertaining afternoon. Stephen and his young son Shay led out the teams, and they saluted the fans at the final whistle as they were applauded off the pitch by the players.
