EGG-STRAVAGANZA FOR OUR LOCAL FOODSHARE

Wednesday 31st March 2021

THANKS to the generosity of our supporters and squad, a total of 142 Easter eggs were handed over to West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare today.

Our general manager Antonia Love handed over the donation to Kevin Gilmour, of the Foodshare project, today at the C&G Systems Stadium.

Among those making a donation to the cause was our team captain Stuart Carswell, who handed over 20 of the Easter treats, while other players also made donations.

But the great total of eggs, which will go to people less fortunate all over West Dunbartonshire, was a team effort from everybody involved at DFC.

Kevin said: “Many thanks to all those who made donations of Easter eggs at Dumbarton FC. We are absolutely delighted with the response.

“We will help make Easter an occasion with a little more celebration for people in need throughout the council area.”

Antonia added: “Engagement with the community is a key part of our plans at Dumbarton FC and this was something we were only too glad to facilitate.

“Many thanks to all our supporters who donated Easter eggs, and to our players as well. Everybody should be very pleased with how they have done for the cause.”
