A goal after just one minute from Andy Barrowman was the difference between the two sides at the Bet Butler Stadium this afternoon, as Dumbarton went down 1-0 to Dunfermline Athletic.
Sons created a number of chances in the first half, but were unable to finish them. It was loose defending as the visitors pushed forward in the opening moments of the game that produced the deficit.
After the break Dunfermline had more of the possession, but Dumbarton defended well. Once again ‘keeper Jamie Ewings came to Sons’ rescue on several occasions throughout the match.
Sons showed spirit, but could not quite do enough to gain a point. Next up is another tough home match against Partick Thistle.
