SONS assistant manager Ian Durrant will re-join gaffer Stevie Aitken in the Sons dugout for the new season following agreeing to extend his stay at DFC.
Ian came on board in January following the departure of Stevie Farrell to Stranraer and proved to be an ideal foil for the manager as a sixth season in the Championship was secured.
The ex-Rangers player is set to put pen to paper at the end of the week, much to the delight of Aitken.
Stevie said: “I am delighted that Ian has agreed to stay.
“We have a rebuilding job to do and I’m relishing that challenge.”
Durrant’s contract extension will be till the end of the 2017/2018 season.
