DUMBARTON will return to the scene of their 2009 championship celebrations next season, after Annan Athletic were beaten on aggregate by Edinburgh City in the playoff final.
City went into tonight’s second leg of the final with a 2-0 aggregate lead, but that was wiped out by Annan inside the first half hour at Galabank.
However, a goal for Edinburgh may only have been consolation on the night, but it was enough to see them over the line.
Nine of the ten teams in cinch League Two for season 2022/23 are now known, and the line-up will be completed tomorrow when Cowdenbeath and Bonnyrigg Rose play the second leg of the cinch League Two playoff final.
Bonnyrigg lead 3-0 from the first leg.
