DUMBARTON LOOK TO PRESS FORWARD

Friday 2nd October 2015

THE first quarter of Sons’ Championship season comes to a close this weekend as we host Livingston FC at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium.

Gaffer Stevie Aitken is looking to end the sequence of games where seven matches have elapsed without a win, but he’s aware of how hard the encounter will be.

He commented: “Livingston, like all matches in the Championship, will provide us with a stiff test.

“We’ve done our homework though and we have our own game plan.

“We were unlucky at Raith Rovers but we’re at home tomorrow and I’m looking forward to the day.”

Stevie is also due to attend his first Sonstrust meet the manager event prior to the game and he is keen to face the fans.

“It’s something I’m willing to do and I’m sure it will be a good session,” said the manager.

Livingston go into this game ninth in the Ladbrokes Championship with four losses, one draw and a comfotable 3-0 win against Alloa Athletic last week in their last six outings. They sit three points behind Dumbarton.

Club sponsors Cheaper Insurance Direct, Baxter Ramsay and Chivas Brothers will be in attendance as Dumbarton FC welcome officials and directors of Livingston FC.

Following Stevie Aitken’s’s session with our supporters, there will be a presentation and official launch of the Sons Online Lotto – and supporters can register now to play – www.sonsonlinelotto.com. Saturday’s jackpot is a whopping £5.9m!

In team news, Gregor Buchanan, winner of the Baxter Ramsay September player of the month, is back in the squad following his one match suspension.

New signing Stevie Saunders (pictured) will make his debut, but Jamie Lindsay, Scott Taggart and Steven Craig are all out.
