DUMBARTON FACE IMPORTANT GAME

Friday 8th November 2019

HOME comforts are back on the agenda for Dumbarton for the next three Saturdays, starting tomorrow when East Fife are visitors to the C&G Systems Stadium.

The match is jointly sponsored by Phoenix Drilling Ltd and West Coast Accountancy.

After last Saturday’s disappointing 3-1 reverse at Airdrieonians, manager Jim Duffy is keen to get his team’s challenge back on track.

Only six points separate first place from seventh in League One, with Sons and the Fifers right in the mix of that pack.

But drastic changes take place with every matchday and consistency is vital, a fact the gaffer is only too keen to stress.

He said: “Last Saturday we failed to match the standards we have set recently. We know where we went wrong and we’ve been working hard this week to put those things right.

“The players’ workrate, whether in training or games, has been first class and I know how keen they are to make up for it tomorrow.

“But it will not be easy. East Fife made a superb start to the season and after sustaining their first league defeat last week, they will want to make up for it.

“If the two teams play to their full potential it will be a cracking game for the neutral. But hopefully we will have that little bit extra about us and take the three points.”

Rico Quitongo, who missed last Saturday’s match, has been doing light training this week and will be given every chance to make the team tomorrow. All other players are already fighting fit and available.

* Supporters are reminded that before tomorrow’s game, the launch of a new partnership between the club and Dumbarton United FC will take place.

* There will be a minute’s silence for the annual Remembrance of those lost in two world wars and other conflicts immediately before kick off. Please try to be in your seats ten minutes before 3pm. Thank you!

* Pay-on-the-day admission prices are as follows:

Adult – £16
Concessions – OAPS, Students, 13-16 year olds – £10
Under 12s – Free.

* Access for all fans is via the east turnstiles tomorrow, with everybody having access to Bar 72 before kick-off. East Fife fans will be escorted through to the away end at approximately 2.45pm.

* The latest edition of the club’s award-winning matchday magazine, Sons View, will be on sale tomorrow priced £2.50.
