SONS are back on league duty tomorrow and travel to West Lothian to play Livingston.
Manager Stevie Aitken knows that it will be a very tough afternoon for his depleted squad.
He said: “Livingston are going well and have strengthened their squad with Lee Miller and Ryan Hardie coming in.
“We played well last time out and really should have taken something from the game if not winning it, so we know we are capable.
“Our challenge right now is getting players fit. We had 12 players fit for Tuesday’s night’s win at Peterhead and to dig out the victory is a real credit to them. It was a difficult tie.
“But, as ever, we are looking forward to the game.”
Colin Steven will referee tomorrow’s game. This will be Mr Steven’s third Sons match in the current season having officiated at our game with Inverness CT in Sep 2017 and again versus Elgin City last November. Frank Connor and David McKniff will assist.
Thirteen points separate the teams going into tomorrow’s game. Livi are in fourth spot (33) with Sons sitting in 8th (20). Both sides were in midweek Scottish Cup action and had contrasting fortunes. Whilst Sons enjoyed a 3-2 win at Peterhead, Livingston narrowly lost to Falkirk.
Liam Dick (pictured) will be available for selection tomorrow, having missed out on the win at Peterhead. Kevin Nisbet is set to make his debut but there are others who are definitely out of the Livi game. Chris Mclaughlin, Grant Gallagher, Christian Nade, Sam Wardrop and Mark Stewart will be missing. Wardrop and Stewart are at least 3-weeks away from fitness.
