CHAMPIONSHIP football returns to the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium tomorrow following the Irn Bru Cup weekend and Sons are set to face, arguably, the biggest challenge of the season so far with the visit of league leaders St Mirren.
Tomorrow’s referee is Alan Newlands, who will be assisted by Gordon Crawford and Scott Leslie.
The Buddies are flying high this campaign, in stark contrast to their fortunes at this point last season. Stevie Aitken’s men are looking for their 5th consecutive home win, so the stage is set for a competitive encounter.
There are a few connections between the clubs. First is Buddies boss is Jack Ross, who was once assistant at the now YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium to Ian Murray, and he briefly held the job as interim manager at DFC before heading to Hearts.
The Sons will be without the injured trio of Danny Handling, Stuart Carswell and Grant Gallagher. ‘Keeper Scott Gallacher, who limped off against Stranraer last Friday is fit and is available for selection. Dougie Hill is out of the game tomorrow having had a problem with his hamstring, however striker Greg Morrison (pictured) is added to the squad.
