DUMBARTON return to match action tomorrow with a vital game away to Stranraer.
Victory of any description will lift Sons off the bottom of League One – and a win by two goals or more will get them out of the bottom two.
It is a fact not lost on manager Jim Duffy, but the gaffer is aware of how tough a challenge his team faces.
He said: “It goes without saying that our current league position is not a desirable one and it is important to move away from it as soon as possible.
“That makes tomorrow’s game vital but we know it will not be easy. Stranraer is always a tough place to go and we expect more of the same tomorrow.
“However; we have used our break to fine tune one or two things and we have to be confident going into the game.”
Striker Iain Russell is nearing full fitness for Sons and Willie Dyer is also on the mend. However, striker Rory Loy again misses out.
Otherwise, the gaffer has a full squad to choose from.
