SONS boss Ian Murray is looking to make an instant impact on his second full season in charge at the BBS and is confident that the pre-season programme devised for his squad will help enormously.
Training began last Saturday when players were reunited following their summer break.
New signings David van Zanten and Scott Taggart will link up with their new teammates to be put through their paces.
More new faces could yet join the Sons ahead of the first pre-season match next week when the squad travels to Vale of Leithen’s Victoria Park stadium.
After being put through their paces through the past week, Sons boss Murray will be pushing his players hard again tomorrow.
He said :”It’s been a busy week as we all get into the swing of things.
“The boys have looked after themselves during the break and all are in great condition.
“Tomorrow we’ll be having a double session and we’ll be making sure the squad is looked after.
“The benefits of a good pre-season are obvious and we are following a carefully thought out programme.”
Meanwhile, prices have been set for the friendlies against Partick Thistle (19th July) and Carlisle United (29th July) at the Bet Butler Stadium. Adults will be charged £10 with concessions at £5.
