DEVELOPMENT TEAM LOSE TO CLYDE

Wednesday 15th October 2014

DUMBARTON’S development squad lost 3-2 at Broadwood last night against their Clyde counterparts.

Despite a double from Andy Biddulph, the young Sons side, which included Jamie Ewings, Steven McDougall and Mark McLaughlin suffered their fifth defeat of the season.

The Sons fell behind early on in the game when Clyde opened the scoring in just 3 minutes.

Biddulph offered Dumbarton’s first response and his impressive run and finish drew Sons level after 18 mins, however, the Bully Wee regained the lead ahead of the half-time whistle.

After the break, coach Colin Nish made two line-up changes, but there was a further set-back when Clyde extended their lead following some poor defending.

Biddulph grabbed his and Dumbarton’s second goal to narrow the goal gap, but Sons struggled to make further headway despite having a lot of the ball.
