DUMBARTON’S under-20 development squad have been in action recently, playing two pre-season matches against Kilmarnock and Stirling University.
The Kilmarnock game was played at Kilwinning Sports Club last Sunday ending in a 2-2 draw.
Stirling University inflicted a 2-1 defeat yesterday but coach Richie Salveta is not too upset at the results.
He said : “We are pleased with where the players are at in terms of preparartion for the upcoming season starting on September 1st against Queens Park.”
Sons ‘home’ matches in the Development League West will be played at Murray Park, in Milngavie.
