Dumbarton suffered their first league defeat of the season at Elgin this afternoon.
Goals in either half from Connall Ewan and Liam Harvey secured three points for the home side.
There were a couple of promising openings for Sons in the first period before Ewan popped up at the back post and midway through the second period a ferocious effort from Harvey flew into the net.
Sons couldn’t respond, despite changes from boss Stevie Farrell, and the hosts secured their first three points of the campaign.
