DECLAN BYRNE has made it a double for Dumbarton by being named cinch League Two player of the month for August.
The striker, recruited from Albion Rovers in the close season, has been recognised for four goals during July and August which made him top scorer in the division.
He has of course now made it five goals for the season with another goal against East Fife in Saturday’s 1-0 victory.
Declan has taken to playing for Dumbarton very well, and everybody at the club is delighted to see him recognised for his part in the team’s great start to the league season.
