MANAGER Stevie Aitken has agreed terms with Steven Craig with the striker expected to sign a contract following Saturday’s Petrofac Cup tie against Morton.

Craig, previously of Falkirk, Motherwell, Aberdeen, Dundee, Livingston, Ross County and Patrick Thistle was at Wycombe Wanderers last season and last played for the Chairboys in the league two play-off final against Southend at Wembley.

The 34-year-old played a huge part in Partick Thistle’s First Division title win in 2013 and also fired Thistle into the Ramsdens Cup final with an extra-time winner against Cowdenbeath in the same season.

Manager Aitken said: “We have more or less tied things up with Steven and there a few wee issues to sort out regarding registration which will be done as soon as we can.

“After the Morton game this Saturday, things should be a little clearer. He’ll bring experience to the squad and I’ve no doubt will make a contribution during the season ahead.”

Steven was present at last Saturday’s official photocall ahead of the 2-1 pre-season win against Clydebank.
