CUP FINAL TICKETS SELLING WELL

Wednesday 14th March 2018

SONS fans were quick off the mark in snapping up tickets for the Irn Bru Cup final against Inverness Caley Thistle when they went on sale earlier this week.

1000 briefs have been sold at 3.30pm today with Sons fan Colin Grindlay (pictured) buying the magic ticket (and winning a DFC T-Shirt).

Supporters will have the chance to buy again tonight at the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium and again tomorrow night from 5.30pm to 8pm.

The cup final is to be played at McDiarmid Park on March 24th and with kids U-12 able to attend free with a full paying adult, the tickets are selling fast and the ambition of taking 2000 fans to Perth could be realised.

Samantha Jones, DFC’s admin manager has been very busy since 11am on Monday and is loving every minute.

She said : “There is a terrific atmosphere about the stadium right now and the demand for tickets for the final has been terrific.

“It’s been great to see so many cheery faces and everyone is undoubtedly looking forward to the game.”

Sonstrust director Alan Findlay added : “The response from our fans has been great and there is a real community spirit being shown.

“The Trust now have 10 supporters buses organised and here are other buses too that fans have organised going to Perth. It promises to be a real day out for everyone.

“From a personal point of view, what we have seen recently in terms of everyone pulling together has been quite something to experience.

“Hopefully there will be a legacy outcome from this, win or lose, and that the club can attract more people to come along and keep supporting DFC.”
