DUMBARTON lost 2-0 to Carlisle United in the final home pre-season match of the club’s summer schedule.
An uneventful first half made way for a slightly better second period which saw goals from David Amoo and Kyle Dempsey win the game for the Blues.
Sons fielded an experimental line-up, including two trialists and several youngsters from the 20s development squad.
As a result the unfamiliarity disrupted any rhythm for the home side however there were a few positives, not least another impressive outing by Donald McCallum.
