A CROWDFUNDING page set up to help Dumbarton FC through the current suspension of Scottish football has raised £12,000 in its first week.
More than 150 people have donated through an online portal which will see funds go directly to the club.
DFC will also benefit from donations made offline, and also a further £1,000 raised from a football card by supporter Gillie Brough.
Chairman John Steele said: “These are unprecedented times and to have this sort of support to see us through is really quite overwhelming.
“It is a truly remarkable amount to have raised, some of which has come from fans of other clubs. We are grateful to everybody who has contributed.
“Even with that milestone reached, though, the fundraising drive continues. We hope that donations will continue to come in, and we will be extremely grateful for them.”
The crowdfunding page can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dumbarton-fc-sos – please share this link as widely as you can and help us reach our target!
All at DFC extend sincere thanks to all those who have donated to date.
