THE online crowdfunding page set up to help Dumbarton FC during the Covid-19 pandemic has now passed the £20,000 milestone after a sizeable donation from the family of the late former Sons chairman Douglas Dalgleish.
After a fruitful last few days, the page now needs less than £5,000 to reach its £25,000 target to help see it through the current tough times.
Douglas (pictured) passed away peacefully, aged 91, in December 2019. He was chairman during the club’s move from Boghead Park to what is now the C&G Systems Stadium, 20 years ago this year.
Today, his widow May and sons Colin and Gordon made a £500 donation to the fundraising page, taking the total past £20,000.
This, like all other donations, is hugely appreciated and our sincere thanks are extended to the Dalgleish family and all those who have donated to date.
The finish line is coming into sight, but we still have to get there. The fundraising page is here.
If you can make a donation, top up an existing one or even share the link to the fundraising page, it will be very much appreciated.
