Tuesday 19th May 2020
AFTER two months of outstanding efforts, a crowdfunding page set up to raise £25,000 for Dumbarton FC to help see it through the tough current times has reached its target.
The donation to see it over the line came this afternoon – Tuesday, May 19 – and even with the unprecedented times we find ourselves in, is a real positive for the club.
It is the latest evidence of the close relationship between the club and its supporters, who have rallied during the Covid-19 pandemic when the going has been tough.
And with some donations to the crowdfunding page coming from supporters of other clubs, it shows what a special place DFC has in the hearts of more than just its core support.
The board of Dumbarton FC would like to thank each and every person who has contributed to the success of our crowdfunding page.
Any amount given, however big or small, even just sharing the link among your friends and family, has been very much appreciated. Rest assured it will be put to good use.
The page – which can be found at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dumbarton-fc-sos, will remain open for any further donations to come in.
Although our £25,000 target has been met, donations will be made as welcome as before towards keeping the club moving during this continuing period with no matchday income.
We will of course keep you informed of further ways that you can help the club prosper and come out the other side of the current situation. There is plenty work going on in the background to ensure it can do so.
Thank you once again!
