CONNER DUTHIE was named as the Sonstrust player of the year on Saturday night, with Carlo Pignatiello picking up the young player of the year prize.

The trust enjoyed an excellent turnout at the Dumbarton Football Stadium for the annual celebration – the first to be held in person for three years.

Conner and Carlo’s player of the year prizes made it a multiple for each of them, as they each took home another award to go with them.

Conner was also named as the Trust Travel player of the year, while Carlo was players’ player of the year. Earlier in the day, Carlo also received the Sons View player of the year award from editor Graeme Robertson.

Supporters Andrew Galloway (Graham Brough Memorial Shield) and Jim McAllister (Sonstrust Special Award) were also given recognition for their efforts over the season.

A top goalscorer award is also in the pipeline to be presented once the season is complete.

The trust extends sincere thanks to everybody who came along to support the event, and to the players and management for their attendance.

It was also hugely encouraging to see how many of our Young Sons were there, and the players made it a night to remember for them by signing autographs and posing for photos.
