ATTACKING player Conner Duthie has become the latest member of the Sons squad for next season after signing a new one-year deal this afternoon.
The 24-year-old, who can either play in midfield or upfront, was initially signed in March after he played as a trialist in Sons’ first post-shutdown match against Forfar Athletic.
He was given a deal until the end of the season and managed to play a total of 14 games. He scored one goal – an important one, the late winner against Forfar in April.
Conner, whose most recent club before Dumbarton was Stenhousemuir, has now decided in favour of another year as a Sons player and new gaffer Stevie Farrell was pleased to seal the deal.
He said: “Conner was a player I knew about before I came to Dumbarton and whose services I was keen to retain for the season ahead.
“Scoring that late goal against Forfar was an important contribution by him and I am confident there is more to come from him in the new season.”
Watch out for an interview with Conner on the club website later today.
