EVERYBODY at Dumbarton FC sends huge congratulations to our club poet Stephen Watt on his success in winning the Liverpool Poetry Prize.
Stephen’s poem ‘Hungover at the Vaccination Drop-in Centre’, which he wrote after a visit to Alexandria CE Centre for his Covid-19 jab, won him the prestigious honour.
He will receive the accolade at a ceremony in Liverpool later this month.
Stephen has been our club poet for many years, and has confirmed his attendance at the Sonstrust Burns Supper on Friday, February 17.
Chairman Neil Mackay has already contacted him to congratulate him personally – but publicly, very well done Stephen!
