OVER 250 people attended the Sons Supporters Trust ‘s FUNdraising Comedy Night last month, and Bar ’72 in the community suite at the C&G Systems Stadium was a fine sight to see.
A huge thank you to the Sonstrust and everyone who bought a ticket, played reverse bingo and took part in the raffle.
A total of £3500 was donated to Dumbarton FC and was presented to Chairman John Steele trust members Gillie Brough and Joanne McBride.
Gillie, who was the principle organiser for the event said : “It was a great night and the culmination of a lot of hard work by all involved.
“It’s a real labour of love being involved with the club via the Trust and whilst at time it was quite stressful, the amount of money we raised makes all the effort worthwhile.
“each and every penny of profit from the event was put to good use and we also managed to get some new equipment for Bar ’72 too.
“We are now planning a Race Night for early next year but first we have Christmas to get out of the way!”
Again, thank you to the members of the Trust who worked so hard to make the night a success.
