FOLLOWING the retiral of long-serving kit man Stevie Hunter, the club are delighted to announce the arrival of his replacement, Colm McKinley.
Colm has already started to familiarise himself with his duties at the Dumbarton Football Stadium.
And Sons Chief Executive Gilbert Lawrie expects him to inject his own brand of energy into the dressing room.
Gilbert said : “Colm was the first person I thought of when we were looking for a new kitman.
“I believe the role is a valuable member of the team; they’re at the heart of everything, in the dressing room and on away trips.
“Colm’s got the personality and charisma for the role, he’s bubbly and outgoing, but he’s also got the club at heart which is invaluable.
“I’m sure the supporters will join me in welcoming him to the role and we are all looking forward to working with him.”
Colm, who officially starts when the players return to training on 20th June , addded : “I’m delighted to come on board and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.
“Stevie has been showing the ropes over the last two weeks and I must pay tribute to him given the amount of work involved, especially as he holds down a day job too.
“Everyone at the club has been welcoming and already i feel part of the family.”
