DUMBARTON FC would like to express appreciation to all our hospitality guests who will be attending this coming Saturday’s SPFL match against Raith Rovers.
The change to a 12.15pm kick-off time for the game on May 2nd potentially could have resulted in a major loss of income via hospitality, but the commercial team have been working hard in the last week to minimise the impact of the alteration from a normal 3pm start.
Commercial Director Alan Findlay commented : “We are really pleased that 95% of the bookings we had taken for hospitality at our traditional matchday time have agreed to come along an attend to a revised schedule.
“Once we were aware of the kick-off time being confirmed at 12.15pm, we contacted all our guests who had booked in for lunch at the original time.
“I have to say, all were very supportive of the new schedule but concerned that we were having to make changes so late in the day as many people had made plans.
“Our last home game is traditionally a busy day, with fans out to celebrate the season about to finish, so we were a little apprehensive about the impact of the new kick-off time would have.
“On behalf of the club, I’d like to thank each and every person who will continue to support us and I’m sure that everyone will have a good day with us.”
The revised schedule is as follows :
11.15-11.30am – Guests arrive at DFS for a breakfast roll and tea/coffee
11.30am – Pay Bar Opens
12.15pm – 1.00pm – 1st half – Dumbarton v Raith Rovers
1.00pm-1.15pm – Half-Time buffet
1.15pm-2.00pm – 2nd half – Dumbarton v Raith Rovers
2.00pm-4.15pm 3-Course Meal, Pay Bar
And it’s not too late to book if there are any last minute fans looking to come along.
