Cognitive Capital Ltd., majority shareholders of Dumbarton Football Club, are delighted to announce a new investment team.
JPM Capital, led by Paul McPherson, are an experienced group of finance professionals.
McPherson brings a strong background in finance, commercial growth and digital marketing.
Effective immediately, McPherson will join the board of directors and contribute towards the clubs ambitious growth and development plans.
One of Mr. McPherson’s key focus areas will be to leverage cutting-edge technology and internet marketing strategies to increase fan engagement and boost the club’s online presence.
These efforts will not only help the club keep pace with modern trends but also open up new revenue streams, ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
Neil MacKay, Dumbarton FC chairman, added: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Paul’s experience and expertise to the Dumbarton Board.
“Whilst our ambition remains to become an established Championship club with a full time squad, we now have to focus on driving revenue to support that.
“We also feel that we need to focus on developing our Castle Road home and the addition of an artificial surface for season 24/25 to ensure our ability to fulfill scheduled fixtures and to provide a valuable resource for the community, encouraging involvement in sport, promoting inclusivity and delivering a tangible health gain for the locality.
“Paul’s addition to the board will be a significant driver in making this happen and we look forward to working with him to achieve this.”
In a message to the supporters, McPherson comments: “I am delighted to be joining the board at Dumbarton FC and look forward to contributing towards the collective club goals.
“My background lends itself well to helping the clubs commercial, strategic and operational objectives – but I am also a passionate Scottish football fan and beyond any commercials, we all want to see Dumbarton back where it belongs!
“I will consistently strive to promote and encourage meaningful engagement with you all. After all, the club belongs to the fans.
“I look forward to working with and supporting the board, lending my experience where I can.
“But above all I recognise this is a community club and I look forward to connecting with the good people who put their time, money and support into this club.”
