CLUB SHOP DOES BIG BUSINESS

Saturday 7th December 2019

TODAY was a big disappointment for Dumbarton on the pitch, but off it, big business was done at the club shop on the last home matchday before Christmas.

Supporters flocked to the shop to pick up Sons merchandise ahead of the big day.

Rumour even has it that one man was seen flying away from the stadium, led by nine reindeer, with a sleigh full of goods.

A particular seller was the club’s new tartan scarf, which was launched earlier this week.

Supporter Denise Currie, who manages the club shop, said: “It wasn’t the best day on the pitch but one of the day’s big positives was at the shop.

“Our supporters really dug deep. Calendars, gift vouchers and replica kits all flew off the shelves – and of course there were the tartan scarves.

“Merchandise is a big part of the club’s revenue. Today was a big day for it and our supporters delivered. Thanks to everybody.”

If you didn’t manage to do your festive shopping today on the last home matchday before Christmas, don’t panic.

Our office hours apply up to Christmas – Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm.

An appeal has also been made to trace a supporter who bought goods before the match, but did not collect them afterwards.

If this was you, please give the club a call on 01389 762569.
