All at Dumbarton Football Club would like to thank Stephen Watt who has announced he will resign as the clubs official Poet-in-Residence at the end of this season.
Stephen has performed at a number of events at DFC across the years and was a regular contributor to the matchday programme, with more than 100 entries to SonsView.
He has also represented the Sons on the national stage at poetry competitions across the UK.
Stephen was behind the iconic ‘Diddy Cups’ poem in the build-up to the Irn-Bru Cup final in 2018, which can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/1_G7PrqqelU
His final contribution for the club will be in this weekends programme against Stranraer, copies of which will be available around the stadium before kick-off.
Stephen departs with all our best wishes for the future and we are looking forward to seeing him back at The Rock again very soon.
