FOLLOWING the late cancellation of tonight’s friendly with Clydebank, the clubs agreed to play a closed door match at the Bet Butler Stadium, with Sons winning 5-1.
Dumbarton had former Scottish internationalist Robbie Neilson on show as a trialist in a side that also included assistant manager Jack Ross.
Sons killed the game off in the first half with goals from a trialist striker (pictured) Bryan Prunty, Martin McNiff and Megginson.
Substitute Ally McKerracher added a fifth goal late in the second witth a crisply taken penalty after the Bankies scored a via a delicate chip that eluded Grindlay.
