DUMBARTON earned the right to stay in the SPFL Championship with a 3-1 victory against Raith Rovers this afternoon.
First half goals from Mark Gilhaney and Mitch Megginson gave Sons a deserved lead against the Ramsdens Cup winners.
Colin Nish (pictured) secured the points with a diverted effort just five minutes into the second period after good work by Gilhaney and McGinn.
Raith defender Dougie Hill was then sent off for denying Garry Fleming a goal scoring opportunity.
A late flurry by Raith saw a consolation goal scored, but Sons were never in trouble in what could have been a tricky fixture.
