Ross MacLean has become the latest player to sign a new deal at Dumbarton Football Club, extending his stay until the end of the 2024/25 season.

The 26-year-old arrived at The Rock at the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign after leaving Queen’s Park and went on to become the clubs top scorer last season, finding the net 9 times in his 35 appearances.

‘Chuckie’ has pulled on the black and gold on 31 occasions this season and contributed a further five goals so far.

The news comes just a day after the news that David Wilson has also signed a new deal at the club, joining Brett Long, Finlay Gray and Ryan Wallace in being at The Rock next season with more contract news expected in the coming days.

Manager Stevie Farrell said: “Chuckie has been a really reliable player for me in my time here and getting him signed up again is great news.

“He’s shown he can comfortably operate anywhere in attack and has come up with some big goals at big times in his two seasons here.

“We are confident he will continue to have as big of an impact in his next couple of seasons at the club.”
