THE home of Dumbarton FC has been renamed the C&G Systems Stadium following a new partnership agreement with a local firm involved in important rail projects across Scotland.
C&G Systems will become Dumbarton FC’s stadium sponsor for three years from today (Saturday 5th May).
The deal reflects the company’s commitment to community sport and a bright future for Scotland’s best part-time team, as well as its own growing reputation in planning, delivery, railway operations and engineering.
Dumbarton are currently fighting to stay in the SPFL Championship for a remarkable seventh season, having just been in the Challenge Cup Final — their first major final in 121 years.
C&G Systems managing director Dave Gordon said: “We are excited at this new partnership with Dumbarton FC. It’s our local team.
“Along with our commercial manager I was brought up in Dumbarton and live here. So there’s a strong community link and a shared desire to make an impact in our respective fields.
“In a spirit of partnership with the club and its supporters, we have redesigned our company branding to the colours of the Sons.
“To demonstrate our long-term commitment an confidence, we have also chosen to sponsor the club for three years, not just a year-on-year deal.”
